The mala is made of 108 Vaijanti beads + 1 guru bead. It is very carefully knotted by hand with a colour matching thread. Malas are also said to be Prayer beads and are used for counting the recited mantras. Many temples have 108 steps, and it is said that each person has 108 lives. And a mantra works after 108 repetitions.

Vaijanti are unique white bead seeds found only in the Braj forests around Mathura (the land of Krishna) where the god and goddess eternally make love. Vaijanti beads are believed to be a favourite of lord Krishna. They are slightly elongated, shaped more or less like tear drops. Vaijayanti Mala is known as the rosary of victory. It is said that the beads were woven in a mala by Lord Krishna for Radha and by Lord Ram for Sita.

Vaijanti is also used for vashikaran, attraction & siddhi.
